Faisal is the grandson of the Bedullin leader Umar. He appears in Erak's Ransom.

He appears in this book after Will is rescued from the desert by his grandfather, Umar.
As he is playing with a ball, an unseen sand cobra rears up behind him, ready to strike. Will, fortunately, puts an arrow through the cobra before it could do Faisal any harm, but Umar, believing he was showing off by putting the arrow near his grandson, attacks Will. His wife stops him, bringing the sand cobra, impaled with the arrow, as proof. Umar is striken and quickly apologizes.
