Arisaka, the rebel Senshi lord

Senshi are the elite warriors of Nihon-Ja. They are like samurai in real life and their liege lords serve as the equivalent of a Araluen Baron. In the The Emperor of Nihon-Ja, Arisaka, one of the main lords of this class led a mutiny, angry that Emperor Shigeru was trying to give common citizens equality to the Senshi and convinced or tricked many members of the class into joining his force, although not all plotted alongside him against the Emperor and some, like Yamada and his clan, were in fact still loyal to Shigeru and joined Arisaka out of the belief that Arisaka was trying to remove the imposter of Shigeru from the throne.
The Senshi are divided into clans, each represented by a symbol. The Shimonseki Clan, the most influencial of all the Senshi Clans and who are led by Arisaka has the symbol of a red stylised owl, while the symbol of Todoki's clan is a green ox and the one headed by Shigeru, the Motodato Clan, was a triple cherry.
